Oasis VFX and Lexus Summer for Dog Lovers. We have again partnered up with Framestore and Team One for another fantastic campaign.

We were again approached to help Supervise the On-Set and Production leading up to post. We are immensely honoured to represent Framestore.
And this time be trusted to run the shoot as we see fit. We had a lot more locations and the shoot complexity increase. With the support of the great crew at Iconoclast, Team One and Capital Media Co. we successfully wrapped it, but not without some weather keeping us on our toes.

We shut down parts of major arteries in Downtown Vancouver for this shoot and had to move quickly as to not fully disrupt the city’s normal flow of pedestrians, public and private transport. It was great collaborating with the fantastic Production team(Director, DP & Producer). to on the fly figure out some complex continuity and framing issues with multiple layers having to be shot for some takes in order for post to fully be able to realize the vision set forward.

Working with Live animals on set can be tricky, needing to balance the need of the shoot and the absolute need of the animals to keep things flowing as much as possible without stress is important, having to quickly be able to change gears and put our stand-ins on mark as much as possible definitely turned out to be the correct move and I am glad we made the call in Pre-Prod to get these stand-ins. We could even use them instead of the real animals in some shots to help where it needed.

I am immensely proud of the whole set-crew that really took on this challenge and made it run as smooth as it did. Our first AD was just ON IT and it was a true pleasure to have been a part of this shoot.
